Social Innovation Sprint

In Fall 2017, we partnered up with Launchpad -- an innovative center that introduces high school students to entrepreneurial thinking by utilizing the resources of the Rady School of Management and UCSD -- to offer a Social Innovation Sprint. High school and college students were taught about design thinking and entrepreneurism on two subsequent Saturdays. They learned the steps of understanding, defining, ideating, prototyping, marketing, segmentation, and pitching to a panel of experts. The Fall 2017 Social Innovation Sprint focued on issues related to homelessness, and future quarters will focus on topics such as sustainability, transportation, education, water and food, and healthcare. Those who complete the sprint will earn a UCSD certificate! Learn more at
